Dora P. Newman of West Windsor, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the University Medical at Princeton.
Born in Nutley, NJ, Dora was a long time resident of West Windsor.
She retired, after 25 years of service, as Director of Marketing for Meadow Lakes Continuing Care Retirement Community in Hightstown, NJ.
Mrs. Newman was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Princeton and the West Windsor Retiree’s Association and was a volunteer for the West Windsor Board of Elections. In her leisure time she enjoyed needlepoint and crossword puzzles.
Dora was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Grace (Callichio) Gallerano and her brother Pascal Gallerano. Surviving are her beloved husband, of 55 years, Charles F. Newman, her sister and brother-in-law Linda and Albert Kelley of Willingboro, NJ, three sisters-in-law Marta Gallerano of West Caldwell NJ, Josephine O'Gibney of Lakewood NJ and Catherine Matey of Mechanicsburg,PA, a brother-in-law Thomas Newman of Manasquan, NJ and several nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Princeton and burial at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Wall Township, NJ were private.
